Year one is carried out when at least 25 students are enrolled.
Admission requirements:
- Conditions for the enrolment in year one:
Candidates who have passed matura, vocational matura or final exam in a programme leading to secondary school professional education or any four-year secondary school programme may enrol to the first year of study. Foreigners should be fluent in Slovene language (B2). In case of limited enrolment the following criteria will apply to the selection of candidates:
– general performance at matura exam and | 60% |
– general performance in the third and the fourth year | 40% |
– general performance at vocational matura exam or | 50% |
– general performance in the third and the fourth year | 40% |
– general performance at matura subject | 10% |
– general performance at the final exam and | 40% |
– general performance in the third and the fourth year | 40% |
– general performance at matura subject | 20% |
Enrolment to year 2 under the criteria for transfer
Enrolment places:

Year two is carried out when at least 20 students are enrolled.
Admission requirements:
- Conditions for enrolment in year 2 under the criteria for transfer in higher education study programme Hotel management and tourism are as follows:
- completed higher education study programme for hospitality and tourism, or
- completed any other related study programme, and
- 45 CPs from year one of the higher education study programme Hospitality and tourism (in accordance with the CHTBM Statute Article 111),
- knowledge of Slovene language at B2 (for foreigners).
- Conditions for enrolment in year 2 under the criteria for transfer in higher education study programme Health tourism are as follows:
- completed higher education study programme Wellness, or
- completed any other related study programme, and
- 45 CPs from year one of the higher education study programme Health tourism (in accordance with the CHTBM Statute Article 111),
- knowledge of Slovene language at B2 (for foreigners).
The Commission for recognising and evaluation the education lays down which obligations candidates have to fulfil.
Recognition of education for the purpose of continuing the education at higher education institutions in the Republic of Slovenia
Applicants for the recognition of education, gained abroad, for the purpose of continuing education in Slovenia shall submit the enrolment application and the application for recognition of education for the purpose of continuing education. The procedure of the recognition of education for the purpose of continuing the education at higher education institutions in the Republic of Slovenia is available at the Ministry website:

Support for the candidates for enrolment
The Ministry will publish all the calls for enrolment on web portal eVŠ: http://portal.evs.gov.si/, together with the instructions (in writing and video) in Slovenian and English language how to fill in the enrolment form.
